Because I'm home and bored tonight, I've decided to embark on a gamb00ling mission. $10 -> $150, one-tabling. I'm normally a multitabling 10NL FR TAGG.
I have to move up every time I leave a table, therefore I have to earn enough for the next level in order to move up. I'm basically freerolling in order to test my skills at higher tables which I'm not 'rolled for. If I go BUSTO, it's fine, it's only $10 lost.
I'm at 50NL 6-max at the mo, here's a couple of hand histories, I'd like to know what you think.
1: 100BB stacks.
Dealer: Starting a new hand (#450253662)
Dealer: Icetea222 posts Small Blind $0.25
Dealer: egosbar posts Big Blind $0.50
Dealer: Dealing cards
Dealer: Your cards Js Jd

Dealer: Resistance raises $2
1 fold
Dealer: egosbar calls $1.50
Dealer: Dealing Flop
4h Jh 9s
Dealer: egosbar checks
Dealer: Resistance checks
Dealer: Dealing Turn
4h Jh 9s 9h
Dealer: egosbar bets $0.50
Dealer: Resistance raises $2
Dealer: egosbar calls $1.50
Dealer: Dealing River
4h Jh 9s 9h 3h
Dealer: egosbar bets $5
Dealer: Resistance raises $20
Dealer: egosbar folds
Dealer: Winner is Resistance $32.35
I fancied a check behind on the flop, as egosbar is pretty TAGG, and I felt he'd bet out a heart draw. The turn was ideal for me, I felt he had one strong heart and was trying a very bad semi-bluff. Do you think my raise on the river was a bit much? I felt that he'd hit a strong flush.
2. Villain has 80BB stack.
Dealer: Starting a new hand (#450254503)
Dealer: Resistance posts Small Blind $0.25
Dealer: egosbar posts Big Blind $0.50
Dealer: Dealing cards
Dealer: Your cards 8h Jh
Dealer: JB001 raises $2

Dealer: JB001 bets $3
Dealer: Resistance calls $3
Dealer: Dealing Turn

Dealer: Resistance checks
Dealer: JB001 bets $5
Dealer: Resistance calls $5
Dealer: Dealing River
6c 9d Td 4c 3d
Dealer: Resistance bets $12
Dealer: JB001 folds
Dealer: Winner is Resistance $31.50
Dealer: Winner is Resistance $31.50
I felt he was giving me the right odds to chase an OESD, and I felt I could rep diamonds if they hit, as he seemed a very simple ABC player. I figured him for AT/JJ.
Lemme know if there's anything I seem to have left out. I'll prolly add a couple more as I go.

Pretty standard IMO. He kept typing "bluff" in the chat when I was value betting earlier, so I figured it wouldn't be difficult to value bet this guy. The river push made no sense to me, so I picked it off. I've now turned that $10 into $120, and I don't think I'ma go to 200NL to gamble it up. I've done what I wanted to do and found out what I wanted to find out - 50NL isn't actually at all difficult, and the days when I lose at 20NL and lower are variance. Well, I think so.
It surprised me to see how bad the players I met in the past two hours are though, they seemed to be passive nutcamping nits or loose-passives. The only difference between these types of players here and the ones down at 10NL are that the ones here have enough initiative to play back at you every so often when you start getting too LAG and you raise their every blind.
