Against this tight-weak player it worked.. but a good player will
see you are on a flush draw and make you pay. A good player will
also not bet into you with medium pair, he will either check along
and watch your bets or he will bet hard after the flop. The important
thing in this case is you had position so you were able to take
advantage of the scare card and the check.

Your all in was less than the pot and was a pretty obvious bluff to boot... he should have called if he had anything. Who knows, maybe he didn't. Or he's just very tight. I wouldn't recommend trying this a lot in the future unless you're up against bad players.

This is a pretty common thing for people to do - keep calling with draws and fire out a huge bet as soon as the other player checks. Good players won't give that big river bet any respect at all if they have a hand. You might get folds if they haven't paired up though.

pretty pathetic playing on his part, and going all in on the river after cold calling after the flush doesnt hit isnt a very good bluff
