I am very new to the online world of poker (I have been playing since Oct. 2006). Due to a unique financial situation I do not have to work. So I am going to start playing poker full time. I will post everything that happens here, in this thread. It will be a way for me to keep track of the evolution of my own game, as well as a way to get feedback from other more experienced players. I am up about three hundred dollars since I began playing. Went through some very bad losses early on, due to my game just being bad. But have been able to bring myself back into the black. I will be putting $500 into my Full Tilt account to start off (looking to take advantage of the Bonus offer). My goal is to play at least eight 55 minute sessions a day, starting out at the 10NL tables. I am going to start over there, build my bankroll, then after maybe a month there move up to 25NL. I also like to play in tournies. So I will more likely than not play two tournies a day, maybe a sNg or two as well. I do not have Poker Tracker or any other tool yet, but am considering getting it once I have my bankroll up to $650, then to take the BR up to $1500 by the end of January. Anything that you guys and gals think might be helpful to me post up. Look forward to hearing from you. BTW I play a very loose and aggressive game.

My best advice is to focus on improving your game and don't worry too much about short term results. Post a lot of hands and ask for advice, don't ignore this advice. Get pokertracker and analyse your hands after a session. If you work hard on improving the results will follow.

If cash isnt a problem then get PT to start with. Itll show your progress really well.
Beyond that, play good poker and dont focus on results at the earliest stages.

Gab: I have been playing nl since 1995 in live ring games only. But during this time I have been playing play money online for the fun of it. I have just recently started playing cash games online at several card rooms. I play the 10NL to the 200NL at full tilt, poker.com, Poker Stars, and Ultimate and what you said about how you play loose and aggressive is what prompted a question.
Where do you find a loose and aggressive online games at these levels? I have been makeing a lot of money on the lower limit games by picking up small pots and every now and then some large pots. I have as yet been unable to get into a loose game at these levels. And I define a loose game when there are at least 5 or more players in the pot. All I seem to get into are games where only 2 or 3 are in the pot, that when just a little pressure is put on the players they fold. This is not all bad because I pick up a lot of small pots . Now, I am not complaining because I am taking these fish to the cleaners every night. But I would like to get into a loose game every now and then. Where do you go to get into a loose game? I just looked at every full table at full tilt in the limits I play and was not able to find a loose game.
Let me know what you are doing to find a room where you can play loose and aggressive/
Thanks

B+M games are almost always looser. If you want 5+ to a flop online, play omaha, you're not going to find it in NLH. If you do, it wont last more than a couple rotations, if it does, pm me quick.

Check out my self-deprecation here!

Dev. This is what I am finding out. But, having said that, I am doing quite well in the limits I play in.
