Hey guys,
this has been on my mind all day. Maybe one or two years ago we had a session review thread in NLHE Strats forum and I suppose everybody who took part agrees, that it´s highly benefitial for both parties.
The idea is to swap sessions of maybe 300 or 400 hands, send it to a partner, review his session and then give feedback and discuss each others style and certain hands.
I´m willing to set this up here for us FR nits, if there´s enough interest in it.
To swap hands u could either export certain sessions from PT by going to "session notes"-tab, mark the tables u like to export and hit "export to HH". To review others sessions I recommend creating a new DB in PT, where u set ur partners sn as your ID, import hands and just replay them in PT´s replayer.
Option no.2 would be to post entire session at weaktight.
If you´re interested post here, the stakes you´re playing, your location (US/CAN or Europe) and if you prefer to do this on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
I´ll pair u up within stakes and timezones if possible, to make msn/aim convos easier, and post the couples here on monday, mar 24th.
I bet this is worth the effort and nearly everybodys game will benefit from discussing a complete session instead of only posting single hands here. Don´t be a lazy bastard and hit the "quick reply"-button!
I´ll do the start:
200NL, willing to pair w/ someone at 100NL, Europe and I vote for a bi-weekly schedule

100NL, eastern time zone (though I work afternoons), and a bi-weekly schedule would be best for me as well.

I'm here too.
I have made decent profit at up to 100NL, but my bankroll leaves me at 10NL for now (long story). I like bi-weekly just fine. On the weekend preferrably.

I am definitely up for this although I am not sure if my input would be that great as I am still trying to make the transition from SNG's to ring.
I am US, Eastern timezone and am currently playing at $25NL.

US, Pacific, 10nl (pretty close to 25nl).
I work nights Tues-Sat though, so anything real time would have to be in the morning or on Sun/Mon, or after midnight any other night.

You´ll only need to have an hour or two to review and put your comments in a *.doc or something. Messenger convos are an option to discuss details later on.

I'm in. 100NL, US, bi-weekly is fine though I am not opposed to weekly.
Should we consider trading our entire poker tracker DBs? Don't we need the stats on each player to give a good eval?

i sorta tried this a while ago, I think I commented on 3 of the 4 sessions I got (various players), then never sent any out, then kinda forgot about it.
I'm a little unreliable.
50nl on FT
every two weeks or every month.

given how often d0zer and I are at the tables, it will be interesting to see if this is + or - EV... I expect good for both of us - stats on the same player pool will mean we can check reads etc...
Thanks for organising this XTR!

I'm planning on playing at least 200k hands at 200NL each month until August so if any of you play a serious volume that high PM or something.

I think Robb went busto on us. I have sent him a couple of PM's and he hasn't replied to any of them (plus I haven't seen him post for a couple of weeks now).

hmmm...
50nl FR at FullTilt. A lot at the 200bb tables. Debating 100nl.
Some 6-max and/or FR at 50nl/100nl on Everest
occasional other sites when I feel like clearing a Bonus
But right now I'm having problems with PT3 - isn't everybody. Guess I could go back to PT2 + HUD for a while though.
My major leak = lack of discipline, but there are loads of others. Calling when I know I'm beaten. Wonder if this session review thing would help?

XTR1k (or anyone that knows), how do you determine which session to send for review? Do you just pick 1 or 2 100/200 hand sessions at random? I think GatorJH is waiting on me to send him a session to review but I wasn't sure how to determine what session to send.

I'd go with 200-300 hands and yes, it's best to pick at random unless you had a session with many interesting hands.

pick 2 or 3 sessions where u felt uncomfortable playing, had a tough seat, got in sucky spots or something like that. Swapping a standard session would be fine too, sometimes we are surprised, how non-standard our default plays are.
