ChezJ is an unknown quantity at this point
i fail to see what this has to do with being LAG.

the guy tried to checkraise you on the flop but you took the freebie. then the turn ruined his hand but he called down anyway.

are you saying you would have folded your overcards if he bet the flop?

i also fail to see how this has to do with LAG play whatsoever. you raised preflop, betting the flop would be done by just about every player, not just LAG. and i know tons of people who play LAG just fine at $200 NL, including myself

I was under the impression LAG play meant continuation betting when you raise

Also I think I just got lucky here that when I took the free card he had a good hand and I hit, think you're right Bair..

I think continuation betting is a smart TAG play, depending on the number of opponents and your reads.

The LAG part of it is when you raise with complete RAGs, then make the continuation bet, I think.

LAG play is playing the hands the TAGs fold.

making loose calls with a draw without pot odds (but implied odds are there)

when you see someone in EP raises 4 to 6x the BB and they get one caller.. original better raises the flop with double the pot sized bet, the player calls, another rag hits, the AA hand pushes all in, again the caller calls, flips over this 74o for the straight and destacks the tighty.

thats lag play.
