I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Are you thinking that going over the top with another 300 odd chips would have made CrayCan fold? Only you know how likely this would have been, based on what you'd seen from him so far.
He's still going to come away with just under 800 if he loses, and with your money in the pot has a chance to really take a commanding lead. If you were at Party, I'd say there's no way he'd lay down but since its Pokerstars you might have made the play work. With your money in the pot, he's betting 1170 to win 2165, as opposed to 875 to win 975.
Whether he calls or not also is going to depend on what he thinks of you and the other guy. If he's thinking that you're thinking the raiser is weak, he might figure you're on a mediocre hand and call hands down. If you've been tight and aggressive, he might easily lay down.
Plus, you have no idea of what the other guy has, so you might already be in hot water. I think it was a good disciplined laydown. I hate calling all-in with AK. With an all in raise before you, you've almost got to assume you're on a draw.
The real question I have for you, is was preserving your chips effective? How'd you finish in this one?

This was definatly a thought. If I knew that I could play this head to head I probably would have called. But his all-in wasn't a lot of money, and I didn't have much more to push over the top. I was also in a pretty early position from the all-in to call, I didn't know what other people behind me would do, this had been a very aggressive game already.

If I were putting the short stack on a hand, I would have assumed medium pocket pair (66 - 99) and been a slight under-dog. I wasn't entirely comfortable putting most or all of my stack in a situation where I was behind, especially if there was going to be another caller. But if I would have only had to risk 1/2 or less of my stack, I would call in a heartbeat.

Well, I guess it worked. I tripled up on AA later. I flopped a nut straight and doubled up again. And in the end, I finished 1st.
