2 hand histories below where i folded big pairs. I'm used to playing at pokerroom and I usually I would never fold hands like this so easily, but full tilt the players are a lot tighter and you don't get many players with a VP$IP of over 50% where as at pokerroom they're all over the place at the lower stakes.

In the above hand I don't have stats on aoreilly88. He just joined the table and had only played 5 hands before this. His PFR was 0% and his VP$IP was 40% - but that doesn't mean anything. Pulda is a tight player and I'm quite sure he didn't have a premium hand. I'm 90% sure that he raises with QQ-AA and he probably raises AKs/o too. I think he might limp AQs and a few worse hands. But I think most likely he has a small pocket pair and is looking to stack me. 22-99 I think he has, so I'm not worried at all about Pulga having me beat.
The reason I fold is because the only way I can play the hand confidently is if I flop a set. If the flop comes undercards to my QQ, aoreilly will probably bet (since he has been aggressive pf) and I'll have to commit my whole stack to the hand. If the flop shows an Ace or King I'll also be very scared to play. If he cbets and I call I'm basically commited to the hand. I thought it would be much easier to fold pf. I think there is more chance that I'm getting stacked here or losing a pot where I'm ahead than me winning the hand/stacking him.

In the above hand I don't have any stats on Klaxx. It's his first hand at the table. Maybe I was a bit too tight here, but I thought a raise from SB showed to much strength. I think I should have maybe called though since I have position. But the pot is already big going into the flop and he could easily have an overpair or he could hit the flop with his 2 overcards. Even if the flop comes Qxx I'm in a tough spot.

The average FullTilt player is much tighter than I'm used to and therefore I'm giving their pf bets a lot more respect. Maybe the above 2 hands I was too tight. But I had the feeling that I didn't have control of the hand and if I let go preflop I would only lose a small pot.

What do you think?

If a guy with a 0 PFR 3bets PF your QQ shrinks horribly.

Hand 2 is interesting. You get 3bet again and youre not getting set value out of your JJ. At 25NL I guess you have to respect getting 3bet PF.

Miffed22001 is on a distinguished road
small stakes players rarely reraise AK preflop nowadays so i doubt they are reraising JJ/TT.
Saying that not a lot of players have reads > equity, but thats a totally other discussion.

Both are OK folds with no reads. You are behind a lot of FTP $25NL player's range here, but there are a bunch of players there who will reraise more lightly who it would be profitable to play these hands against. I'd almost certainly be folding the first hand against the full stack, but might be willing to gamble in the second hand.

hand 1 was actually against quite a loose player (but i only found this out afterwards). still, there is a good chance i am behind. his raise does look strong and i have to give it some respect.
thanks for the replies. i thought i'd get a whole load of replies saying that i played way too tight
