Calling on the flop is good, since there's nothing that can beat you. Plus, it might scream "I'm on the OESD!", so someone might try to push into you to get you off of it.

Come the turn, I'm not sure if I want to bet that big, since I don't know what the other guy has just yet. He might be on that draw too, and by betting, you will scare him off. I would have bet 1/3 to 2/5's of the pot, to give the illusion that perhaps I'm chasing, or I have top pair, decent kicker...you know, something that I can be pushed off of.

Fortunately for you, the $5 bet was still enough for the dnago to raise all in wiht his set of 8's. You can't fault him all too much for going all in if he thought you had a draw, buthey, you won. nh.

You played the hand well, if you thought that the turn bet would get called or raised. nice hand.
