I wasn't paying much attention to this table before this hand, it is on the first orbit. I have a feeling I'm beat by one of them by either an overset or possibly AK. Anyone ever been able to find a fold in a spot like this? I'm not folding this hand, but I had a gut feeling that I was beat. Maybe I should pay attention to that feeling?

the 2 spades on board make this a much easier call

when u call there is only 1 stack in the middle and you could very easily be up against an overplayed AJs. If you had been last to call I think it would have been harder.

nh.

then again, the 2 spades make it more likely that ak will want to protect.

hmm..

nh anyways
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

You see people overvaluing pair + draw far too much these days. If you are behind here I dont think you can get away from it.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

Lukie is on a distinguished road
looks fine, although I prefer a lead on the flop over checking.

I agree with lukie here, given this board I think we need to be leading for close to a PSB

Yeah, the drawing possibilities+likelihood of getting it allin against 2 players+the fact you have a great hand make this a no-brainer call, IMHO.

That's interesting. I assumed the only way to play the hand was to check raise the flop. I'd hate to kill my action. Do you typically try to take the lead from the preflop raiser when you flop a big hand?
