Was it better to call the all-in on the turn and then bet out on the river? I re-raised pre-flop here to get HU as i was OOP, turns out if i read my notes on players i would've smooth called as they all had low VPIP and original raiser had 3.4% PFR.
Turns out original raiser folded and other two called and this happened... lol did i extract maximum value?
Looking over it, maybe flop bet was a bit weak?

I'm more interested in how you'd play the hand had you not flopped a set.

Well after raising i noticed the VPIP of the small blind was ridiculously low, like 5.6%,and if the flop came all low cards i think he'd have checked and i've have led out on flop/turn maybe slowed down by the river and checked it.

If it'd come up with the board being the same but the 10 a 9 for example, i'd probably have led out then given up when both called the flop lol...

the reraise size pre is bad. either flat call or make it $5.50 to go. Flop bet is week also. When you hit a big hand like this bet out big so you get more $$$ in the pot.

I like the somewhat small bet on the flop. The set is disguised and it keeps KK and possibly AQ in the hand.
Never bet on a white man in the heavyweight division!

As it happened i think those were both the hands the two others had, but isn't an overpair calling a large bet here?

Personally if i had KK in this position, i'd raise the flop for information and think very hard about calling a push or sizable re-raise which usually indicates two-pair/set in my experience.

I probably could've got away with a bigger bet on the flop. Saying the pre-flop raise was bad, that means i should've played the 10s for set value only?
