I have pocket aces, and flop an ace, but there's a flush draw and a possible straight on the table. No reads.

How should I have played this? Should I have been more careful on the river?

I gave the flush draw OK odds thinking that if they had the straight they would check-raise, then if the flush came on the turn I'd fold or try to see a cheap show down.

I think you played that fine. Not sure if I would have raised the river but he didnt show any strength throughout the entire hand. I think you can get calls from worse hands there so the real question is will he bluff raise? The only reason you shouldnt raise that river is if you think he will raise you without the straight just the right amount of times to make it a tought call/fold on the end.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

Looks good to me. There are many many hands he could have at the end so that
-his raise is NOT a bluff
AND
-you win

Not going broke here is silly. Bet it like a winner.

I'd go for more preflop and more on the flop too. Not sure whether to three bet the river or just call his check raise.

If he plays the hand like a winner, there won't be enough money behind to bump the river twice.

Bet the flop more. .50 to a 1.50 pot is asking him to call with 2 hearts.
My sig is too much for you to handle.
