I must be getting better, tonight I've had AK run into AA twice and had the case Ace come on the flop, one of the times I hit the K as well...
I'm quitting after this for the night, nothing is going right...
But i managed to make the right decision...

P.S. I hate pokerstars, I've never been successful there, I run into more split pots and suckouts there than anywhere else.... I have lost nearly 300 life time on that site. I put 75 in today to have some money for the gauntlet, started playing to build it up, I think i'm on edge today, but the site plays so tight, I'm playing 17% of hands and still can't make a profit...
Grrr.... I refuse to hit a wall, i quit before i do, come back another day...

It was a 3way flop with 2 aces and there was already a nice sized bet and a call in front of you. How hard is it to lay down KK here?

Ur right it's an easy laydown, but I honestly can't remember doing it before. Frustrating day, I lost most the deposit on stars that I put there for the gauntlet. I'm not lying when I honestly think I see more suckouts on stars then anywhere. I had two 3 outers catch on the river in my SnG i just took 4th, fucking fourth is like kissing ur sister QQ vs. KJ, I understand its 68 to 42 but by the river it was 93 to 7.... It's just tough to take when his suck out leaves u all in in the blind on the next hand to take fourth. I don't think I could have played it any differently. I couldn't have folded QQ there preflop, couldn't in a million tries (which would be positive EV in a million tries)...
Looks like I'll just stick to buildin up my stack on full tilt and movin it to stars for the gauntlet tourneys. I simply can't handle stars. It feels rigged, I can't seem to make a profit on that site. I know it's random but maybe it's in my head. I know I'm a profitable player, but stars just seems to get me. I get the same feeling there that I do at a golf course i've never played well. There's no reason i shouldn't play well there, i just can't fall in love with the course, and I can't fall in love with pokerstars something doesn't fit.....

You've never laid down KK before, until now? That begs the question: How many other leaks do you have in your game? Jeezus man, sometimes KK is just no good.

P.S. Online poker is not teh rigged.

I folded KK twice tonight...

once preflop to a reraise followed by a 150BB push (pusher had AA, reraiser had QQ), and second on an ace high flop facing a reraise of my 3/4 pot bet.

KK is nearly the nuts preflop, but after the flop it's only a pair.

I make a lot of money on people that cant fold KK

Q. Is poker Gambling?
A. Do you use correct bankroll management?

Is this post for real? This is the first time you have folded KK, and you are wondering why you are losing money?

what the fuck?

No, for real, is this a joke post?

If it isn't, the reason you are losing money is because you are terrible. Go pick of a book or read something.

And before I get someone bitching at me, I'm just saying what everyone else was thinking when they read this post.

Kid, take next week off from playing, and spend all that time you spent playing doing some reading. Read some of the hand histories on this board. Go pick up a good book on poker. Hell, even go to 2+2 and read around.

There, I just saved you another 75$

I usually don't like people putting words in my mouth, but this time it's okay. It's VERY VERY okay.

i have never folded it preflop yet, and to be honest i haven't had to many Aces hit the board with KK. I hope i've folded it before but i can't remember when. But yes sometimes i'm weak with holdin on to hands preflop. I'm getting better at letting some hands go. The best i've laid preflop is QQ.

At the limits your playing at, i'd NEVER fold KK preflop

and, I might not be willing to fold it on a Q high flop onless i had more than one player giving a lot of action on the flop.... but it's an easy fold on an ace high flop.

Low limit players love playing any ace, and taking it all the way down (and thats not even counting the fact that a lot of the hands that will call you preflop have an Ace.)

I've read Hold 'Em Poker for Advanced Players, Theory of Poker, and Tournament Poker for Advanced Players, all part of the 2+2 i believe. I'm not a losing player, just not as profitable as I could be yet. And trust me I know i have things to work on... If you've read my other threads, I try and be very humble about this game....

Laying down KK post-flop is something you have to be able to do, even if there is no ace on the board. On an ace flop, it should be very standard.. although I'm not saying you should necessarily give up on the pot if there is an ace, but you get the point.

Preflop is a whole different story. It is often correct to fold QQ and AK preflop, KK is highly debatable. There are countless threads on FTR alone that discuss whether it is correct to sometimes fold KK in fear of AA preflop. I won't even go there because that discussion has worn me out. From what I have read of your posts, you don't seem like a very experienced player.. pay off AA when you have KK, very simple.

Come on, this is soooo standard.

In reality, I think you folded here because you saw two aces and the bet and the call. More scary to me would have been a lone ace on the board, because there's more potential for someone to hold it.

Only nice thing about a double-ace flop is that people nearly always check it, and I might check behind or see a turn for a c-bet. A few times I've hit a king on the turn and made a pretty penny.

Lukie, I've been taking poker seriously for maybe 6 months now (online for about a month). I prolly don't even have over 100,000 hands in online yet....

If you have only been playing online for a month, I hope you wouldn't have 100,000 hands..

Just understand that post flop it's only a 1 pair hand. With an ace on the flop it doesn't even match up to top pair..
