Just sat at table, no reads.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

MP2 ($3.60)
Hero ($4.07)
Button ($5.95)
SB ($1.13)
BB ($1.81)
UTG ($5.32)
MP1 ($1.65)

Preflop: Hero is CO with T, T.
1 fold, MP1 raises to $0.08, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.08, 1 fold, SB calls $0.07, 1 fold.

Flop: ($0.26) 8, 7, 2 (3 players)
SB checks, MP1 bets $0.26, Hero folds, SB folds.

Final Pot: $0.52

My guess was he had pocket pair, concern being higher than mine. How would you play it?
Just playing to improve.

I would re-raise it preflop, make it $0.25 to go. If he 4-bets you preflop, you can fold, if he calls and you hit your set, more than likely you take his whole stack. Re-raising preflop sets you up to play the flop aggressively.

As played, you have no idea whether he has A8 which you crush or JJ+ or a set which crushes you. I would probably flat call and see what he does on the turn given you have position.

Ok, thankyou. I rarely raise pre-flop, probably a big leak right there.

i have seen A8 minbet/reraise all in 250bb deep here.

.01/.02 on Stars hosts a lot of insanely horrible play.

Unless I have a very specific reason, I prefer to flat call TT (and JJ) pf. Think about what type of flops you would be happy to get it all in with holding TT in a raised pot.

This is SNG thinking. I wouldn't re-raise TT or JJ either in level 1 of a SNG either (unless I was in the BB and it was folded to the SB who raised me).

BUT

Stacks in cash games are MUCH deeper, particularly 5NL where they are 250BB deep. Even in a "regular" 100BB stacked game, effective stacks are MUCH deeper that in SNGs because of the ability to rebuy.

You have to 3bet more than just AA and KK in order to pay those hands off. Also when your 3 betting with your TT you likely have the best hand and it is possible (albeit small at .01/.02) hell fold. I like 3 betting preflop, as played i reraise flop to .65-.70. If he comes over the top you have a decision to make, but its more than likely call at these stakes and no read.

I not thinking SNG, I'm thinking cash.

And at this level, you don't have to 3bet more than AA, KK since nobody is paying attention.

EDIT: incidental edit!

Not at 2NL you dont. Id be just calling preflop with JJ and TT here. I fold that flop too. The pots getting out of control and you are slightly ahead or way behind against someone you dont know.

I think a 3bet preflop is horrible at 2NL with no reads since you are probably against someone reasonably loose and on most flops you will have to play an underpair against someone you dont know in a big pot.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?

hand 2 I would check that flop, or, if you must lead out, lead more than you did. You are barely over 1/3 of the pot. Bet $1 if you are leading, and fold to a raise.

As played, after he minraised flop, I call too, because then you have implied odds to hit your set again. Any bet after that I fold.

Ah that's true, I didn't take the buyin into account. At 50-100NL a 3-bet would either win the pot preflop or allow you take it down on the flop often enough.
