Sorry I don't have the hand histories for these - it would probably be better if I did, but anyways these are two hands at 100NL @UB Ring

Folded to me around the ring, I am in MP3 with a 7 & 8 suited in spades - I make it somewhere around 4.5 to go. I get one caller (from a considerably tight opp.) in late position - this unfortunately puts me OOP, however - flop comes: 5 6 9 rainbow!

I check the flop to which I am checked behind and the turn comes with an Ace. I throw out a bet of approximately half the pot and my opp. folds.

My thinking was that if the opponent couldn't call an approx. half pot bet on the ace, that the only action I could get would be if the person were unlucky enough to make a river set or if my opponent were to backdoor flush on the river (the Ace made this possible) and obviously that would've beaten my holding. I thought once the ace came down this was the best place to throw out my bet. Thoughts or opinions?

--There is not much point to this next hand, but I thought it was funny and it made my day (100NL diff table @UB):

UTG raises to around 3.25 to go and everyone except one person calls before me in the CO, I hold suited connectors and give it a go, expecting no re-raise behind me. Only two people at the table are out of this hand making the pot around $22. So I had someone talking to me during this hand, the flop comes J J 3 and since someone was talking to me during the hand I accidently clicked the bet button - I accidently bet $1 into a $22 pot (I meant to check it) to which the whole table folded the hand to me! Maybe I had a scary table image and/or combined with the luck of no one holding a J - lol! Sorry, no point to that really, just kinda funny and made my night!

First hand u absolutely have to bet that flop. He obviously missed but it looks that you missed too. Your bet hope in "extracting gold" out of this hand is that he has a PP or decides to play back at you since "you missed" the flop.
