Most of these people were calling down anything with Ax. Just a random experiment I tried when there was no A on the board. (hey, at least I had a pair!). No, this is not the normal way that I play at all.

I think it's more likely he folded due to the 7s pairing and thought you had trips and folded a higher pair...
