It has come to my attention that certain hands I lose because of a suck out occur because I did something a bit different than I would normally do. Even if it is just something minor, such not raising enough preflop, or in this case, not reraising the flop, but calling.

It seems that my attempt to draw some more money out of him backfired, and it backfires more often when I make a small mistake. However, if you notice, he did not even think about the flush, or the possible three of kind that could be out there on the turn. He made several mistakes in this hand, but my small one gave him a bit of luck....

The lesson I am trying to show is had I simply reraised the flop to $4, I believe I could have gotten a fold out of him, or at least when the turn hits I can bet strong again. I believe that all players could evaluate certain losing hands and they will notice some small minor difference they made in their play than normal, and you will begin to see how big a difference it makes in your roll...

Why on earth would you want to make him fold when hes drawing to 2 outs? Bet as big as he's willing to call but no more (unless he wont call more than his odds of drawing. Then and only then do you make him fold). As it was you needed to bet a fair bit for the possible flush draws but you certainly dont want this guy to fold.

Edit: im talking about hand 1 here.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?
