because it's 2nl, i'm sticking the rest of my stack in. probably the toughest spot you're going to find however at this level. Maybe a fold is in order because you can dominate them in a different hand. besides, you;ve only invested 10 cents and you have 2 players to act after you.

Heh...TPTK in good ol' $2 NL...

Knowing nothing about my opponent, I would probably call/shove with this hand. Simply because the AVERAGE opponent at the 2 buck stakes probably isn't very strong.

However, if you know something about your opponent, say...that this guy is a rock, or even just a tight player, you can probably shut it down.

What is his possible range to call your preflop bet...and then what would he have to have to continue the way he does on the flop?

That being said, I generally agree with Drew.

Even if you are folding the better hand, you can wait for a setup when you REALLY have the advantage. It is $2 NL after all... you WILL get paid off when you flop your set and the guy cant get away from his pocket 9's.

Raise the flop and generally try and get it allin here as soon as possible. This donkbet can mean a lot of things, including a FD and weaker ace. You are losing to AK and 22, which only make up a small part of his range. Also, as a general rule, most players are this level are prone to slowplay big hands on the flop, or at least checkraise smallish.

It's 2nl, we're not folding.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

20ptbb at Stars 2nl is weak. I could probably get that by playing a shove or fold strategy in 95% of scenarios.

fair enough, I haven't played 2nl, at 10 and 25 I'm folding here though, and probably 5 as well if I'm 200bb deep

It's a bad fold at any limit.
