Maybe I should've called this, but I couldn't imagine him doing this without a 9. I don't know, this hand was confusing.

my first instinct was fold for sure, but now that I think about it, I think this guy is full of shit. I'd still fold because his big bluff would work on me, but I think you're probably ahead.

He cant possibly put you on any 9 or 4 with your aggressiveness pre flop and on the flop, so he reps the strait with a big bluff. It would be very weird if you called and he flipped a 9 unless he's holding 99.

Well, what is he holding then? I can't imagine two pair or a set being played like this, and if it's supposed to be a bluff, did he really call my flop raise with nothing just in the hopes of catching a pseudo-inside straight draw? It doesn't really make sense.

I think it could be any pair 55-JJ. The stacks are deep enough for him to call pre flop with any of those pairs to play for a set. 99-JJ is an over pair to the board(and 99 has a gutshot) on the flop so he bets and calls your raise with it. 55 77 and 88 all made a set so he bets then smooth calls your raise to not let you off the hand yet. 66 picks up an OESD so semi bluff/calls your raise.
If he puts you on broadway cards or an over pair QQ-AA, i think he can make this play with any of those hands and then bluff the river. The only one that beats you is 99 but his range is a lot bigger.

The guy had 9T. He had the nut straight, and was hoping you only had the 9. That's how you would act with that hand. Great fold IMO.

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

That probably is what he had. He leads out on a weak semi-bluff with an open-ended straight draw, calls the raise and then hits his straight on the turn.
His turn play is still pretty bone-headed since he should put me on an overpair at best. There's almost no chance I have the straight from his perspective. I think that is what confused me. There is no way he can expect me to call this bet.
