I was thinking about raising more pf, since villain is pretty loose and seldom likes to fold when limped in... but I thought a raise more than my standard 3x bb would be send major alarms through his head and I wanted to milk my aces for all its got postflop.

I thought the hands he could have. X9 obviously beats me, but I thought this betting pattern could also fit pp 22+ for this villain. Thoughts? Do you go broke on this hand?

ummmm.. yes... go broke.

Go broke all day and all night.

You can't fold this. If he has a 9, then nice hand.

Bleh.

I raise more pre and lead flop. It's easier to put someone on trips if they instacall/raise a flop bet on a paired board (easier, but still not easy). As played, I'd make my reraise $21-$25 and if he calls/raises that then you've really got to be thinking trips.

Still, pretty hard not to go broke here. You probably gave him less credit for having a 9 once the board tripped up.
