I see that line with top set now and then. When the guy raised that big on the turn, I really put him on top set. Unfortunately (actually, it's often fortunate), I don't trust my reads enough to lay down my set on this board.

Anyway, just want to know if you guys ever lay that down, even with a good read.

Sometimes. If it's something really obvious like someone who isn't a big fish raising preflop (I say this because some big fish would play A-K, A-3 or A-9 like this), check-calling a bet and a large raise on an A, 3, 9 rainbow flop, then suddenly giving tons of action on the turn, then I might consider folding 3-3 or 9-9 if the hand becomes too expensive.

If the opponent is willing to fast-play his/her set, then there's very little way of detecting it. That's part of the reason I usually fast play my sets.

I don't lay down sets at 25 or 50 NL with a super safe board because most of the time they will play the same way with TPTK or an over-pair.

If the stacks were deeper, and the players wern't so horrible at this level maybe, but I think playing it for the best hand will pay off in the long run.
Currently Playing 8 Tables of 25NL 10-Max.
Or
2 Tables of 100NL 10-Max

Current Bankroll: $625

Goal: To stop pulling $$$ out of my bankroll and build it up to 1k.

Dan Harrington, and I think Doyle Brunson also said that.

If I have a set, and I get beat by an over-set then it just isn't my day.
