putting him all in. If we put him on QQ only, we still have the odds.

Okay phew. I wasn't quite sure. I ended up just calling and then a king came on the turn. -he- pushed all in for me which was an easy call by then.

unfortunately the river came with a 9, and saved him with a full house

You shoudln't be calling or folding here, raising only. You have good equity against his range and even 40% vs sets and he's much wider than that IMO.

Raise with glee! This is a god flop for your hand. Even against the hands that have you crushed (straights, sets, and two pair), you're almost even money:

Board: Td 9d Qc
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 46.970% 45.82% 01.15% 27217 683.00 { AdJd }
Hand 1: 53.030% 51.88% 01.15% 30817 683.00 { QQ, TT-99, KJs, QTs-Q9s, J8s, T9s, KJo, QTo-Q9o, J8o, T9o }

There is no hand where you're worse than a 3:2 dog.
