Got dealt AKo. Had just lost a couple semi bluffs and some other hands I folded on the turn that took me from $80 down to $62, so I was not feeling super aggressive. I indicate myself as **ME** below. Did I play this right? I didn't post the final outcome because it's easy to give advice when you know the result. I'll post the outcome after some responses.

I was a little scared by the jack and then I thought about getting check-raised by him if he had that or the queen and an ace. So I just called on the river. There was a decent pot anyway, why push it.

Raise more on basically every street.
You can't seriously be that afraid of 2 hands that beat you.
Do players often limp with AJ/AQ at Full Table PL 25 on party? No so often
Do players often limp with Axs at Full table PL 25 on party? A lot more frequently.

You mean the revolver, sir?

Well, you got alot of money from him anyway... Right?!
But I would double your bets from pre-flop to river.
Preflop: $3-4 dollar raise
Flop: Either slowplay and just call OR raise $5 or something
Turn: Go all-in on the bastard OR call for slowplaying
River: You should already have got enough information of him by now. All-in, smaller "call-bet" or BIG raise!

Basically what 'Rilla and Excalibur said.
The main thing here I think is that the river must be bet at. If he does checkraise you, well nevermind, but I don't think he's going to do anything more than calling, if that.
Just get your aggression levels up and you will be fine

After the hand, what you guys said made total sense. Even when I looked back myself. He did have A4 or something feeble like that. I should have been raising more or stuck it to him on the river. Lesson learned...I'm glad I still won while learning this one.
The prior day I got absolutely hammered getting greedy on the river with great hands. In one case after being checked on the river, I went all in with the nut full house KKQQQ, but it so happens they had 4 of a kind. That one really hurt. They slowplayed the whole hand since I was being agressive.
I didn't have a read on this player because he hadn't been there long and the hands he did play, he seemed to be fairly passive. Plus, I had put down the usual bets ($2) for AKs and JJ and people were folding left and right. It was a table that wanted to limp in every time but then they would get agressive with average hands.
I appreciate the advice because even without knowing the outcome, you gave the correct analysis. I won't make that mistake again.
