Shoulda I have put out another 2/3-pot sized bet on the turn in this situation?....it looks like it would have worked. Or would you guys have just check/folded like I did......
Also, the other guy had just sat down, so I wasnt sure what type of player he was. Would you have stabbed the turn, and then if he still didnt budge let it go?
SIDE NOTE: Thankfully showing off my trying to buy the pot worked a bit later, where I put out about the same size bet with a set of 8's and got shoved all-in with TPGK....

You'll get conflicting reports, and truthfully much depends on who you're playing against and what hand you read them as having. USUALLY if I come out firing on the flop with AK/AQ/AJ after it missed me completely, I will check/fold the rest of the way (assuming I don't pair up). There's no reason throwing good money after bad on a hand that has little chance of winning. The only exceptions I will make are when I am 90% sure someone's chasing a flush or straight, in which case I bet the flop and turn, and if they miss their draw, bet very hard on the river so they can't call even if they paired up along the way.
The situation you really don't want to get into though is someone calling you down with top pair and you trying to bet them out - like here. He had a king, he's probably not folding after he called the flop bet.

Depends on the player. This guy called a raise with K3, then called your pot-sized bet on the flop with kings/no kicker... nothing here leads me to believe that he's about to fold, unless maybe you went all in on him, which seems like a lot of risk for such a small pot.

This situation is one that I have trouble with. In most cases I'd just check it down. If he is on a draw you might win in a showdown anyway. But if the guy is particularly weak/tight I might try to bet him off of what might be a weak king or a flush draw.

Thanks guys. I just wanted to make sure that checking it down wasn't being weak after I took a stab at it....
One more question...Should I only try and take a stab at it with position, or if I am the PF aggressor should I keep that aggression up, or does it just depend on how good you think your opponent is?
Thanks

Depends completely on the player. I've played people who would call almost any bet on the flop, so a continuation bet bluff basically required a bet on both the flop and the turn to be successful. But you have to have some sort of a read for this.
