Hey guys,

I'm new to this website, been checking it out quite extensively the last couple of weeks and decided to join.

I was playing in my 1st live tournie this weekend and one hand lost my chip lead and inevitably started a down ward spiral of horrible cards.

Anyway to the hand;

I had 10 & 7 spades, the flop came down - Jc 9S 4S. One player went all in. I decided to call on the fact that I had a flush draw and inside gut draw. No spades came and I lost a good chunk of my stack on this hand.

I had a similar hand earlier in the day where I put someone out when I caught the flush on the turn (but in that situation didn't have the gut shot)...

Thanks for your advice guys,

Phil

Well first of all, how did you get into a hand holding T7s?

Secondly, unless you have a huge chip advantage, I would suggest not calling an allin when you are on a draw. You want your money in there when you have the best of it.

Undle Buddy thanks for the help.

I was in the BB and there were no raise pre flop, that's how I was still in..

I had 4 times his all in when I made the call...

with that info did I still make the wrong call ? yeah it is a risk on a draw, but I thought I had a good amount of outs to make my hand...

In the same situation, I'd probably not make the call. You have evened him up with you now. Get out, and pick a better spot. Although, I can see an argument to make the call as well.
