I'm playing $1/2 NL FR on PS. This is an interesting hand. I managed to hit TPTK on the flop... then bet out on both the flop and turn, enough to deny odds to draw at a straight or flush, then the nightmare card comes.

I suppose it is possible he is just slowplaying AA or KK to death or hit a set as well. What is the best play here on the river? Any other suggestions to change the way I played the flop and turn? Is it possible that I induced a huge bluff by checking that river card? Can he really push with air here? I thought it would be very unlikely. Any comments are welcome. Thanks.

Reads on villian: he is 49/ 20 over 50 hands. Total aggression 2.63 and won $ at showdown 50%.

Looks like a disciplined fold...too many things beat one pair.

If you had a read that he was capable of making a move with something you beat (bluffed draw hit) then you can call at your option.

K-Js hearts. That's the only hand i can see villian holding on this hand, un. I would lean towards K-Js playing weak on the flop, and reverse bluffing the river hoping to induce a call. Too hard to say for sure whether he was bluffing or not, but you're beat far too often in this spot to call. I think a fold was the smart and proper play to make. I would not have played the hand any differently.

Uh, I can see him holding way more than that.

He has a half a stack, so we'll assume hes a fish and not good (otherwise he'd have bought in full)
Id have potted even bet 60 into a 50 pot perhaps and called any bet he made on the turn or river thereafter because he needs to have us beat to really be making money.
