I didn't raise the turn because I thought futbol's flop overcall was a bit suspicious and that making a big raise might be suicide. I couldn't believe it when I found out he was just chasing. On a K, Q, 8, 8 board no less, after I've made it known I have a big pair.

His play up until the turn is good, he was just too stuborn to throw his hand away and made a bad call that turned into gold.

Not that bad of a chase...

You get a lot of those people that won't let go of a flush draw for the life of them. In the long term, you are making money from them, you played this hand well and it will work for more often than not, this hand just sucked.

IMO the guy playing K3s is even more pathetic. Put both of them on your buddy list.
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

I would like to redefine chasing for you: a guy this morning fired out a pot-sized bet of $4 on a flop of JT8. I held 79 suited in late position and happily re-raised him to $15. He called. The turn was another 8; he bet big, I raised, he went all in and I called. The river was a king. He held... K8. I'd say calling a massive re-raise with bottom pair/decent kicker is chasing of a sort that makes flush chasing look downright sensible.

Well....I hate to be the bearer of pot odds....but his play was not *terrible*

He was just scraping by on the flop call, however the call behind him boosted the odds in his favor.....

On the turn IF and only IF he thought his A was still live for some reason....he was scraping by on pot odds to make that call with 2 $27 bets before him.......

The flop he had good odds, turn is questionable........

Just my 0.02

If you factor in the fact that he could be drawing completely dead, I think the turn call is pretty absurd.

Here's chasing: I have 66 in LP today, call a raise, the flop comes T6T. Beautiful. I raise it hard on the flop and hard on the turn because I dont want to get sucked out on again. He calls the $15 flop raise with KQo, hits a Q on the turn, and calls a $20 raise on the the turn. The river brings another ten, he bets $5, i call it and he calls me a sucker.

I read that he was bluffing so i came over the top of him to make him fold because i gave him some credit for not being a total douchebag.

I was really annoyed with myself when he called because i thought i made the wrong play until i saw what he called me with.

I guess he was a total douchebag though.
