my image this table this session is probably fairly warped - today is one of my balance/polarisation sessions to mess with the HUD-bots
UTG likes to raise from all positions and is loose-meh-crap
3-better is an aggro piece of fun - I have him 52-13 and 10% 3-bet over 400 hands.
3-betting here is sometimes standard - but this isn't that session, and calling/folding are also legitimate against these players. But it's deep and I've had too much coffee today....
Flop is all good, if I think about folding then why am I playing this pre-flop. Sets are unlikely - 5 hands out of huge ranges.

I like this line. 77-88 are a stretch.... KK sucks but is fair for MP3... It feels like AA or maybe even 9dTd or 5d6d....

actually, i don't really understand the difference between balance and polarising. I sort of use the two terms interchangeably, I thought that may be wrong... guess I'll search out their meanings now. Thanks for pointing that out

polarized => Your range is very good hands and very bad hands but not medium hands. e.g. Sets and missed flush draws but not single pairs on the river.
balanced => Given the pot odds you are offering and the proportion of your range I beat, it is close whether it is a call or fold so my decision is difficult and im likely to make a mistake. e.g. 2/3 of the time you have a set. 1/3 of the time you have a missed flush draw and you shove for a potsized bet.

preflop you should call if its profitable and fold if it isn't
theres no point in calling unprofitable hands for "balance" purposes, and its stupid to fold profitable hands.
unless utg is real bad, its a for sure fold pre.

utg is real bad...
so balance <> range breadth...
starting to understand after some blunt object discussion on irc...
