[Edit - stupid thread title changed. Reason for post - I've seen this donk-raise UTG minreraise a reraise line quite a few times before and it's 90% AA from the showdowns I've seen, so I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this pattern as well. I find it similar to the limp-reraise by nits move.]
Lotta shit cards tonight and 1 suckout that I didn't pay off...am I being weak-tight or is this the obvious donk-way to play AA?
Of course the shortstack I don't care much about.

hey if that is the read you have on him then fold. get another shot somewhere else. well lets see there is $20 in the pot, you have $5 more to go to hope for a set and probably win another 13. so it is $5 to win a total of $33, does not seam to be a good bet to me. that is if your read is correct

Well, it's a Poker Room skin, so it's either AA or 52s
Maybe the limp-reraise with AA is getting too obvious, so now the minraise-reraise might be in vogue. I hate that network. This could be 99-QQ/AK there with all the redonkulous aggression.
Any stats? If you have a decent sample and his VPIP is <30% I probably fold, but >35% and I call.

At the time I didn't have stats yet - as you can see by my stack it was fairly early in my session...later stats indicated a 25/5ish player.
I was mostly curious here as to whether or not anyone had seen this 'style' of AA play before, as I have seen it often enough at $10 NL and a little at $25 NL - not in $50 NL yet but it won't surprise me.
Evidently not...but here's an example...I don't make the laydown habitual...in fact that's the first time I can remember laying down KK preflop in ages, even when it's occassionally up against AA. Lucky guess this time I suppose, particularly with that 'rigged' flop

Uncalled bets: $5 returned to UTG.

Good-- at least I've got a good handle on the VPIP/PFR thing If I had those stats and this situation, I fold 95% of the time (the other 5% when I push I'm tired and didn't think enough).

I've seen it (or suspected it), but not enough to make me think it's the "new" AA thing to do. Give it time. Makes some sort of retarded logic if you have a tight BB who won't even call a speculative hand OOP for 1BB-- no free flop for him. I still think it's a terrible play. Unless the guy's a fish or shortstacked, I'll just take this as a raise-reraise and drop QQ- and AK in this spot to a hefty 3bet. KK is tough-- I don't think I've had to do that yet (against a 100BB stack at least).
