standard situation,

raise 4bb with a hand like 55,
one short stack caller.
pot now 9.5bb, SPR now 1-2

am i right in thinking it is correct that we push the short stack all in no matter what the flop is (whether we hit the nuts or nothing? otherwise he can us, just fold when he has nothing, and call when he has a decent hand?

assume that this is for only when were OOP, and the shortstacker is tight

Depending on the flop I'll often just check fold, but if I'm willing to get it in, with like any pair, I'll usually try to let them bet it, cause if I bet they're only calling when I'm beat, but they may bet (shove) missed overs like AK. But it really still depends on the flop and their range, even though they are short.

I don't want to Hijack the thread, but this is very related to that.
But more directed at preflop.
Say Short stack 40xBB or less maybe a little more if they are opening a lot of hands. Say this particular Sstacker is raising about 15% of their hands on the Button/CO, Well Pocket 9's or any higher pair beats that range, so would it be profitable on the BB maybe SB to push?(assuming it's only you and the Short stacker, no limpers.)
