All-in on the flop...no questions asked...the pot was big enough to justify it. You would have put kasraee to the test by making him play for about 2/3 of his stack on a decent draw.

Put the money in when you've got the goods. If he still outdraws you, you had the money in when you had the best hand...but with that much money in the pot, he had enough outs to justify calling your bets to the river.

you're right. THinking it back, I should hit HARD on preflop after his call. It's bad cause I had two-thrre Bad beat like that tonight and it hurts.

Push on the turn, not the flop.

Pushing on the flop would be silly becuase you'd scare the money away. On the turn, you're gonna get a call more frequently.

The river was well played.

The pot was already 15 bucks preflop. It was worth taking down on the flop, or narrowing down the field to a player who has a pair of jacks.

On a flop like [ Js, 9c, 4c ], you've gotta make them pay a lot on the flop to see that next spade, jack, or straight card. It's better to take a $15 pot than bust out.

Betting less than half the pot on that flop isn't enough to push out people with dangerous hands.

But if not all in on the flop, then definitely on the turn.

When the action got to him preflop, the pot was tiny and only raised once. Reraising would clear the field but you might also scare your opponent away from betting with a beaten hand.

I see the merit in taking it away preflop. I didn't notice how big the pot was already. With how big it was, I'd push on the flop instead of the turn. Atleast make a bigger raise.

Yea in many instances when people with T7s somehow decide to call a good raise preflop it's worth raising it a lot higher to really find out what you're up against (might someone have JJ for instance)

on the flop i'd bet the pot or at least 2/3 of it.
Curious, would any of you come to the conclusion on the river that he indeed made the flush due to his betting pattern (small bets on flop and turn and calling the raise, but then betting a lot more hefty straight out on the river ?)

I don't even think 2/3 on the flop is enough to push out the drawers. pot-sized bet at minimum, but as we've said, the best option there is just to go all-in.

And by the river, you've gotta think that the other guy either had the flush or a full house. For him to make a 10 dollar bet after sticking it out the whole way like that, you've gotta figure he's got it. If he was going to make a genuine bluff, he likely would have pushed all-in on the flop or turn, or perhaps gone all-in after being reraised.
