well, what do you know about these players?
do you know whether dom_inater would have bluffed at that pot with not much or a pair, or do you think he would only have gone all in if he had two pair or trips?
If I didnt know anything about that player I would have called.

that second one I prolly wood have checked it as he might be planning a checkraise I feel or he's prolly got kings with better kicker or might have made two pair with that jack.
It's hard work. Gambling. Playing poker. Think about what it's like sitting at a poker table with people whose only goal is to cut your throat, take your money, and leave you out back talking to yourself about what went wrong inside.

For the first hand, I'm curious what kind of a hand would prompt this action. The board is almost completely drawless, so if he has a set with pocket 7s or pocket deuces, why is he betting them so hard?

If he's a good, tricky player you can call here and weak bet on the river. The reason why? He sees no one taking control of the hand so he is. It's a hard raise to call becuase it's into a field of 2 other people who have already put money into the pot. He knows it's a harder call for you than Gambit if your hand is top pairish becuase you've still got gambit behind you. He also need not fear any draws because the board is drawless.

I said call the turn and weak bet the river becuase it gives him a great opportunity to bluff at you again and it'll make him look foolish at the table if he folds to such an insulting bet. (And I'm all about psychological warfare.)

The second hand, just check behind him. You can't really call a re-raise here and not many beaten hands will call a river bet.

Yep!
That Pre-Flop and Flop got ya in a bind!
It all depends how much you can tolerate for that critical ERROR
(or wrong guess if your intentions were to slow-play!)
Considering I will recognize the Flop as a personal screw-up of mine
(if it were me)
I figure it’s worth $11 penalty charge!
$83.50 after this Call in my stack
I would REMAIN CALM,
then,
I would call.
Gage (hopefully READ) the reaction
I would possibly raise if GAMBIT314 wasn’t involved.
I want to see what GAMBIT314 does, and I still have the River to help me out!
The goal here is to slow-play to the River.
I am hopeful it will cover my a$$ for screwing up on the Flop.

(Mental Prep for the River)
I’m thinking dom_inater has got A7
Raising in an attempt to prevent a Flush
If he has trips he certainly gonna come out blasting on the River
Keeping in mind I'd still have $24.90 remaining if anybody does do the AI thing
My next move will depend greatly on the River,
& dom_inater having to act first.
He has no idea what I have,
He does know I initially bet pot, and I am about to CALL his substantial raise.
I’m stalling for time, seeing if the river will better my hand,
in concert with me slow-playing the dang thing.
Hopefully my call will surprise his butt.

And again if GAMBIT314 wasn’t here I would raise him I think.
Please show me it was A7 and not trips on the river.

Ego?
I think he might have ya beat.
I don’t think he has a 3 or Spades.
I suspect he has a King
I would hope it's not with an Ace or a Jack
Right now I am thinking it's a Jack
I don't need to pay anymore to have it verified.
If depayne wins,
I would feel satisfied he didn’t catch me in a trap. Small victory!
And if I win, hopefully he don’t muck his cards, cause I want to see what he is holding.
I’m mucking mine!

Hand #1 smells like a set. But it would have to be a set of 7 or 2 based on pre-flop action and no raise. If he slowplayed the rockets or jacks good for him. I pop him AI or call turn and check/call river. I would not lay it down easily.

Hand #2 check. He limped from up front so I don't think he has AK or a 3. However the KJ is a good possibility

Im just curious about this, why did you check the flop when you hit top two pair, at least make half a pot sized bet there to see were u stand, if he only calls and then comes over the top you can probably say that he hit his set or something similar

The second hand im checking, I fear the check-raise from him here so its better not to risk it IMO

hand #1:
No raise, pre-flop? You were in position, so you might have knocked off a small pair with raise. Limping with AJ and KJ makes me antsy.

Granted no reads on the players here, but they might have been edgy on the flop with 77 out of position, if you raised pre and bet out on the flop for value. If they called with 22, JJ, they'll probably re-raise you on the flop with their set, when you bet for value.

On the turn, he cannot have ANY idea what you have with your check. But since you checked the flop you know nothing about him either!

Can't like the raise, though. With your big stack, I probably would have called, unless he's super tight. If he's got trips, he probably bets big on the river. If he doesn't have trips, he's gettin' nervous, and might take a weak stab at it with A-mid kick, hoping you just have J's.
