1). standard

2). check behind on the turn. That is such a nasty turn card (SD + FD both completed) i could see folding to a large river bet. Bet if checked to on the river.

1) meh
2) check turn. ugly scarecard popping up there. call small river bet, fold larger bet, check if checked to. Betting river in this scenario might cost you the pot against thinking player, he may raise forcing you to release, unless you have a read that villain bluffs big on river. Turn was a really ugly card.

I'm assuming this is a difference in $100NL vs. micro, but will ask anyway...

Why the fold on Hand 1? Seems to me there's a ton of other things in villain's range besides just a made straight. Plus there's no FD and you've got the 10 outs to boat (which u would have on the turn). I'm asking this for my own information, not to question the hand as played....

Hand 2: Had almost the exact same situation last night, but OOP HU. Top two pair against a potential made flush. If Hero was OOP in this hand, would you suggest he bet into the turn (1/2 PSB?) or check and fold to a sizable bet? I have a really hard time playing top two pair against a potentially made draw... just hate handing the option for aggression over to villain and then laying them down if he shows it....

Hand 1:

Board: 7h 5d 6s
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 43.919% 42.28% 01.64% 4186 162.00 { 6c6d }
Hand 1: 56.081% 54.44% 01.64% 5390 162.00 { 77, 55, 98s }

Throw in the probable dead money from the shortstack and I think you have to call even if the guy always has a set or a made straight. In practice there is a non zero chance he has 88, 78, 67 or a donkish AA, so folding here has to be too tight. Against a really well known tightwad I'd consider dumping bottom set here tho.

I'd also consider raising the sixes pre against pokerstars nits.

1. It's been said before. Don't fold sets for less than 100BB without a REALLY good reason. You don't have a good reason here. Jimmy mac shows you why!

2. Re-iterate what others have said. Check behind turn, call reasonable river bet.
Hey knucklehead! Bonk!
