Just a one where villian either lead flop and one where check-raised. Wondering if I played it optimally with position.

Villian 38/15/.5 over 75 hands

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.50 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

saw flop|saw showdown

MP1 ($10.30)
MP2 ($20.70)
CO ($97.05)
Hero ($55.15)
SB ($43.05)
BB ($49.25)
UTG ($59.20)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 5, 5.
2 folds, CO raises to $1.75, Hero calls $1.75, 2 folds.

Flop: ($4.25) 9, 2, 5 (3 players)
CO bets $4.25, Hero raises to $9, CO folds.

Final Pot: $17.50

Raise size was bad, but would this have been a place to call, or shoudl I always be raising here?

1. always raise. raise more $ as you said. a diamond can really slow down your action, so slowplaying is bad idea.

2. seems fine, but sometimes i like a re-minraise 3-bet, keep them on the hook.

call in the second hand and let him fire the turn. he thinks you have missed overs, why try and change his mind.
