hand 1
i've become shove happy recently
larger flop bet leads to easy turn shove
as played river is a fold
hand2
god that is such a sick check raise on the river... hero folds unless he can think of two weaker hands that villain does this with

hand 1 is a tough spot i find myself in often. being OOP sucks. if you bet the turn and get called, it is usually either AK (which suggets c/c river) or KK if he doesnt shove KK pre. the turn check controls the pot well and i think adds value to an overpair. as played i think your river fold was correct.
hand 2 i think your line is fine. i'd bet/fold/tilt river.

Why does him having AK suggest you should c/c the river?

hand 1: i would bet more on flop and then bet turn, but what hand can we put him on that is beating us here? depends on how light he calls your 3bets from blinds vs CO. i'd probably call and make some note.
hand 2: def fold imo

XxStacksxX, thats probably a leak now you mention it. i just dont know how to properly size a river value bet in that spot with an overpair, so i would lean toward c/c because i think he's likely to try to bet for thin value with AK when checked to on that board, rather than me betting and being called by stronger hands on average and raised by wily opponents who sense a one pair hand that cannot withstand a bluff. i would certainly bet the river for value if i knew villain is unlikely to bluff and will call with weaker one pair hands.

Hand 1 is definitely more interesting. What do you put the villian on that you would fold to on the river? IMO there are only 3 hands you have to worry about that are in his range (KK, KcQc, Kc,Jc)....thats it. I do agree that I would have played this hand faster than OP but I think you have to hold your nose and call this river.

hand 1 You have to bet the turn. I dislike calling river raises vs 200nl nits, he screams KcQc here. But I hate one hand ranges, i hate doing that. And you have the Ac to block the nuts. Man, bet turn. As played I fold and post the hand on FTR.
hand 2 Sick. I like flop and turn. River I consider checking behind, but probably bet. Gotta fold now though.
