here is a piece from my "op thread." let me know where i did well and where i got FPS please. even though i won both, i prolly didnt play them quite right. i'm sure you will find more wrong with hand 2.

hand four...the biggie. this was hard to play because of the apparent "value betting," and the fact i was stacking a couple hands in a row. i know youre not supposed to think like this, but you never know when your luck will turn.

Does anyone like a RR on the flop in hand one to find out where we are at? Seems like it could be alot cheaper then calling down(assuming villain knew how to size his bets).

Hand two you have to bet on the flop with that board.

hand one...i thought about the raise on the flop, but figured him for missed overs, or the biggens, and didnt want to spend anymore money than i had to...as i thought i was folding the turn. but, then, he threw out such a pussy bet, i felt like it was a panicked JJ nit.

i just felt like there was soooo much out there that had me beat, but i figured most of it would bet harder. but, i was still too strong on that board, imo at 25NL, to fold off to weak bets.

hand two...i figured everyone would say to bet out on flop, and usually i do on flushy boards. but, since i was the pfr'r, i didnt want anyone to think i hit my AK real hard...and run away. i knew the risk, but figured if i had someone on QQ or lower, i needed to induce the bluff. and when i boated, i wasnt going anywhere, and wanted the flush to hit "for free." i was pushing the river (to look like a missed flush/made flush no matter the card), and wanted another shot at someone bluffing into me being that i had position. the only thing i was worried about when the action fired on the river was AK doing the same thing i was trying to do, but figured that's a risk i'm willing to take. boat over boat is so rare, i will stack off with it almost every time. ...exception...double paired boards. if the A fell on the river, i would kick myself.

Your FPS and unwillingness to build pots with big hands are costing you money.

If you raised preflop to $3 in hand #1, you would have more accurate info about CO's hand. He could fire right away thinking you're strong enough to call push and you'd have easy fold PF. You probably paid off AA/KK here because that is the way weak nits play those hands on those stakes. Minraise preflop, min-4bet (lol) and 1/3 pot bets through entire hand.

Hand #3 - mandatory $2 on flop, $6 on turn, rest on river and watch them calling with their gutshots, AJ's, clubs and other crap. Don't slowplay on this action flop.

Hand 1 -Haven't read any of the replies but you definitely have to raise that flop to see where you are. I probably pop it to around 10$, and if he pushes i fold

Hand 2- AK7 is about the best flop you can have for 77. you have to bet it and hope someone with Ax or Kx will come along. Also there's two to teh flus hand you dont want anyone drawing for free

based on preflop action what do you think villain's range is? what hand calls a raise that you beat, and what hand folds that beats you?

Putting half stack just to get info is IMO abysmal play. The place for getting info is preflop.

not that nobody else helps...they do. but, this has to be the understatement of the year for me. thanks.

back when i was a noob/dumber, i was a raise pf, betpot, betpot, betpot kind of person. if i got raised, i got out with anything less than 2 pair, and pushed the rest...i think. only played draws for limps/small raises when in lp w/ callers in front, and only followed through when i had odds or a real deep stack showing interest.

i have no idea what happened to my game. i would guess sometimes being dumber is actually smarter.

being back up in 25NL games, as opposed to 10NL games, i have been adjusting to the stacks, bet sizes, and trying to "get a feel" again. i'm pretty much rearing to go i believe, and i should see a monumental improvement over the next 25k hands or so, imo. at 10NL 1/2 pot bets take down pots regularly, at 25NL they get raised. old habits die hard.

thanks for the help, as i will keep posting winners to find where i'm missing what is rightfully mine...lol...minus the tip to sklansky.
