Ugly Ed
I had been at the table about 2hrs was up only 32$. I am sure I had a pretty tight image. I had a few showdowns early and won with good hands. I had also folded quite a few hands I played to large bets opponents made. These 2 things I am sure contributed to my tight image. Which was slowing down my win rate because the other players folded to alot of my raises, and also probably pushed me off a few winning hands. It was a loose table and I was waiting for the right chance to win a big Pot.

Anyway I had 2 hands in a row that I had to make some difficult decisions on. So win or lose do you think I made the right choices? If I win of course it was the right decision, that time. I mean not being result orientated though.

Hand 1: Whats your move on the different times I had to make a play? I'll leave out my last 2 decisions and hand results and post later.

Hand 1: Reads would help. I would have raised instead of calling that flop. You have two pair on dangerous board, play if fast or drop it. Raise it to $20-24 and play cautiously after that.

A set will let you know after that, and AQ just might fold it on that board. If you get callers and think their looseys chasing the flush/straight, throw in another bet, but I would think check/call after that.

As played it's only $8 to see a $40 pot, I'd call and see what it brings you. Could even rep the flush if it hits. Complicated hand.

Hand 2: Flop raise was fine. No draws on that board so after his bet/call, I would guess you're beat by all hands cept pocket 10s. Even an AK floater just hit, I'd check behind on the turn.

hand 1: i fold preflop...as played i raise the first flop bet..then if that guy still minraises me i probably fold it or call if i have odds to fill up...pretty sure he flopped broadway though, it would be much easier to tell had you raised

hand 2: i prolly make it 2.50 preflop although it doesnt really matter because you got it HU anyway. looks like he flopped a set...limped UTG means low PP a majority of the time. he called your flop raise so that should set off warning bells. i check behind the turn for river value and probably call a small bet assuming no scare cards on the river (Q,A,9,heart). as played i dump it to the check-raise, he definitely has a set. also your turn bet was too weak.
