Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

In the first hand the villain is weak when he bets out the turn. The villain has a worse ace, and wants to know how strong you are. The funny thing about this play, is that often you tell them and they stick around anyway. I would call the turn bet, and set up a pseudo bluff on the river to hook him.

In this hand the villain may have caught trip 8's. I would just call this. I would never raise.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Hand 1-

Raise or fold the flop...there arent enough outs to your hand to be trying to see if villain will follow thru on the turn. He's going to often enough to make it -EV. I personally fold PF unless villain is a moron laggy type and then I raise the flop and fold to a push.

Hand 2-

Unless you are trying to induce a bluff by checking the turn then you are giving up too much info. Either bet the turn and look for a cheap showdown or be ready to call a river bet that you may not like.

PK
Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

hand 1
preflop fold unless opp sucks bad.

hand 2
why check the turn? thats free info for cheap. Bet the turn just not so hard. If opp calls then leads the river you can decide, but i think its probably a fold. Not enough players at 50nl have the balls to check raise the trips/flush here. If he checks to you id check behind anyway or bet if he isnt capable of a river check raise.
That river bet looks like you arent supposed to call to me...

First hand I ended up pushing, figuring for a tie (hoping he didn't have AK). Preflop I figured him for 99+, KQ or AT+. His bet on the flop looked a little scared. With his smaller bet on the turn I figured he had something like AT-AK. Turns out he had kings and re-sucked out

Second hand he had 6s3s for the turned flush. In retrospect I really should have bet something on the turn to see where I stood.

you pushed hand one when it was fairly obvious you were beat

hand two you called when it was equally obvious you were beat

youre heading in the right direction, next time you can fold when its fairly obvious you are beat...
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.
