Raise preflop, and you were probably doomed to lose your money there...I'd never put him on QQ JJ or AA

Definitely looking to raise preflop here, probably around $2 (8xBB).

I don't think limping in is that bad of a play, but it's a personal preference for me. My thinking is that I usually try to avoid making very large preflop raises, because I don't like making a definitive statement about my hand before the flop unless the pot has already been raised (that is, make it so only hands which can beat K-K or A-A will give me action post-flop, since that is what I'm representing). I also prefer not to play A-Q in a multi-way raised pot which is what would likely happen if I made a normal raise after several limpers. So since I don't like to make a normal raise here, and I don't like to make larger raises, and folding is obviously wrong, I prefer to call. That's just my personal preference, though.

I wonder why that guy didn't even raise or bet with middle set. Strange.
