so, poker has been kicking my ass lately. So, I am really starting to question pretty well my whole game, and as such will be posting some fairly basic stuff for review.

1/2 PL table. haven't been at the table long, but in a short while there opp seems kinda bad. I raise because I have a decent hand and there is a lot of dead money in the pot.

I expect opp to have some sort of J or medium pair that doesn't want to fold to a single bet, but will to 2 barrels.

The question here concerns the turn play. Is it better to check it behind with all these outs, but only 1 card to come, or do I try to push out those medium strength hands by betting again.

MP2 ($116.65)
CO ($200)
Button ($107)
SB ($123.80)
BB ($143.60)
UTG ($277.30)
UTG+1 ($165)
Hero (MP1) ($199)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 10, A
UTG calls $2, 1 fold, Hero raises to $10, 4 folds, BB calls $8, 1 fold

Flop: ($25) K, 3, J (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $19, BB calls $19

Turn: ($63) 2 (2 players)
BB checks, Her0...

More info on villain plz. A shitton of the droolers will call you down with any king and most jacks.
Decision seems close so why not just mix up your play? Flip a coin.
OTOH betting here makes you harder to play against and sets you up to stack him if you hit, so I'd probably bet 70%, check 30%. (Read dependant)

EDIT: PS I use the little clock windows gives you in the lower right when I decide I need a randomizer. If you have a better idea, please do tell because it uses a precious second or so to click down there.

not a whole lot more info to give. didn't have a hud running, and hadn't been there for long. don't recognize the name so that says a little something. Seemed to like to see flops in the orbit or two since he sat.

i'd double barrel here a whole lot on the turn when the implied odds are bad(short stack, timid opps, obvious draws,etc.). Otherwise, i prefer to check behind in case he c/r bomb.

What? No.

$63 in pot
Villain has 114.60

We bet $45
Villain shoves

$221.60 now in pot
We need to call $69.60

That's slightly better than 3:1 and we're around 25% to win against all non-bluffs, so it's an easy call.

Bet $50 instead of $45 and it's even easier.

sorry you're right, for some reason i assumed villain had his starting stack behind on the turn... tbh I don't know what my default move is here, I think it's very close but bet/call is probs best actually.

afaik from an optimal frequency standpoint, bet some of your flush draws. this is one you dont really wanna bet.

I bet/called the push, and villain showed up with a JT???? I was sure that he would fold his less than Kx hands to a second barrel, but apparently was wrong.
