I saw that he only had 20 bucks left so it would cost me basically 20 bucks for the next card on a 50 pot then..

Im no expert, but here is my take...

Id be tempted to lay it down since he doesnt have that much left, and it looks like you are only drawing to the straight. He calls your raise and then raises you right away on the flop. Then you check the turn and he makes a decent bet, if I had to put him on a hand I would guess either 10-J or 55-- maybe 10 10 or JJ but alot of players reraie with those. Which means that I think you are only drawing to a straight since a K/Q is no good. The pot is laying you 3.6 to 1 I think (if my understanding of pot odds is right) because you have to call 10 dollars to win 36.1x dollars. The way he has played this hand so far makes it seem like he would pay off your straight, however-- so you may only have to call 10 more to take the pot and potentially whatever he has left.

That said, I am intrigued by this hand and what the NL gurus say.

He played it smart.. I would have checked on the flop since generally you want to have position if you are going to semi-bluff (and he had position on you), without position things can get real nasty and you wont get paid off as much if you hit.

I would fold it. He just doesn't have enough to pay off your straight draw. You are only making that hand 17% of the time at best with one card to come. That means you need at least $58 in the pot when you are done.

i don't understand your calculations. there's over $36 in the pot, he's got $20 left, and it costs $10 to call on the turn. so you are getting $36+$20 to $10 or over 5:1 implied odds to call which is just right for an 8-outer OESD. if you miss the river, you fold and you've only lost $10 not $20.

its an 8 out draw, but since he didnt have much money left, your implied odds are his stack if you hit and you have to be sure he's going to stuff the rest of the money in. 2 outs look dirty because it fills in a flush draw.

i think i'll agee with chezj and say make the call and bust him if you hit.

no, not really, i can just tell he had a spade draw. he might have turned an OESD along w/ it. maybe A9s. looking at his betting pattern, just looks like he raised his flush draw on the flop because ender made a weak ass bet. then ender didnt reraise on the flop so weakness is prevalent. and even if he doesnt think its weakness, then its definitely a monster which will pay his draw off big time so his implied odds are huge. then ender checked the turn proving the previous statement even more, so he took a stab at it but he looks hesitant cuz he his a little shortstacked so he makes a weak bet which looks like a bad attempt at a bluff. this may make no sense to anyone, i'm not gonna reread it to look.
