this guy raises shit all day long, I put him on any 2 cards here most likely not anything good.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Button ($48.50)
SB ($62.46)
Hero ($49.50)
UTG ($46.25)
UTG+1 ($49.10)
MP1 ($26.35)
MP2 ($51.40)
CO ($21.15)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2, 4. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
6 folds, SB (poster) raises to $0.75, Hero calls $0.50.

Flop: ($2) 2, Q, 4 (2 players)
SB bets $1, Hero ?

Do I raise here to prevent a possible flush draw or have him call, or do I check to allow him to make another mistake?

I see one of 3 possibilities
1) he has squat, and if I raise he will fold. If I check he may catch something and bet again, or he will check on the turn
2) he caught a piece of it which I doubt since his 1/2 pot bet, bet lets say he did, and I raise him on the flop he may call or he may re-raise. best scenario.
3) draw, and by not re-raising I give him free cards.

personnally I think 2) will give me the most profit in the long run

lastly please do not say fold preflop, this situation is why I would call such a crappy PF raise

Well I can see your logic, but if you're calling with 24o and you don't flop big (90% or more of the time) are you just giving up? If that is the case just repop him preflop.

Not raising here isn't too bad, but you want to start building this pot imo. I'd make it $3 - $4.

which situation is that? the one in which you are guaranteed to be behind PF and you're only ~3.5% to flop 2-pair or better with your hand? is that the situation you call pfr's a lot?

Fold pre-flop. Raise the flop. Bottom two is not a hand you want to be slow playing, especially when it's 2's and 4's and there are two hearts on board. Quit trying to be tricky.

Re-Raise to $5. Few possibilities:

1) He folds but thinks you were trying to make a point with the overbet and next time when actually have a real hand, you can get him for real.

2) He thinks you're trying to make a point with the overbet and re-pops YOU, which is exactly what you want. Then you can push that shit.

3) He calls, and when a non heart or Q comes off, you push.

Don't try to get cute with 24o, bottom 2 pair with 2 hearts on the board.
Ship It

Did you consider reraising him preflop? If he plays any two, how strongly does he play them?

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

you don't play shit like that for top pair, you play it for 2 pair, sets and straights. I have often made good money on aggro players with shit like that in position. and against someone like him yes I do play shit like that, not often, but often enough. I am already in $0.5 on this hand, only $0.5 to call. this is a perfect hand to destack him. especially if he raised me with AA, AQ as long as the board does not pair, unless it is a 2 or a 4.

BTW, he plays very Loose Agro. and he is down a few hundred bucks thanx to poker sherlock HUD (=fish)

I think the right move here is to bet $5 not $3, and see if he thinks I am full of shit. I am willing to take that.
