I was wondering if I should call or push this hand on the river???

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
10 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $25.95
UTG+1: $34.02
Hero: $19.75
MP1: $20.59
MP2: $21.93
MP3: $88.40
CO: $27.20
Button: $23.75
SB: $21.55
BB: $5

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is UTG+2 with 4 4
UTG raises to $0.5, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, 3 folds, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop: 5 K 3 ($2.75, 5 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks.

Turn: 4 ($2.75, 5 players)
SB bets $1, UTG folds, Hero calls, MP1 folds, MP2 calls.

River: K ($5.75, 3 players)
SB bets $5, Hero ??? (Call or Push ???)

Push. KK doesn't call from the SB. So he'd have to have K5, K4 or K3 to be ahead. I pay those off.

I agree, raise that draw heavy board/multi player pot on the turn. As played puuush and watch Kx call.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

And I did push, and I got stacked.

My reads on this player were only 4 hands -- basically nothing.

Still ended up a stack but would have been up almost 3 if I win this hand.

Sets happen. Most of the time you would've been up against a K here, so your push is still goot.
