Hmm, hard hand. I hate those hands when you finally hit your set and want to get paid, then you see that obvious straight on the board. Just try to play sets fast, especially when other better draws are possible. Raise more on the flop.

You induced a bluff with your weak turn bet.

Comes down to reads. Does he hyper overbet his strong hands?

If he makes the straight there, does he slow down?

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

I think you got bluffed out of a winning hand here. I'd say he had nothing more than a nut flush draw or an over pair. His allin stinks of a busted AA or KK.
Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

You fucked this one up on the flop. If ever there was a time to over-bet with your set...

I would push and hope he puts me on the draw....

I had been talking with the guy (nicely) for a while before this hand.

He played loose preflop, and made a 'play' here and there.

Anyway, he said he had J9 after some prodding, and I believe him.
