You likely have 12 outs, all of which may not be clean (if he spiked a set and the board pairs). The way I figure, you have to call 29.9% of the pot on a draw that comes in 24% of the time, with some of those outs tainted. Looks like a fold, but if you hit the right club or a 4 you have his stack....

He's giving you over 3:1 and you're only 2.8:1 against to hit your draw. Easy call. I'm not putting him on a set here, I definitely think it's top pair.

Are you figuring on one card to come or two?

How many outs are you giving him?

I think AA is definitely a possibility here. Looks like a typical set line here.

The turn gave us a double belly-buster SD in addition to the FD. 15 total outs for the straight or flush (13 clean outs if you discount the 2 tainted clubs, so we're 2.5:1 to hit our hand). A $30.50 pot up for grabs for $13 more = 2.34:1.

Pot odds are almost there but implied odds make this a call.

My question if we hit our hand (without the board pairing)--
What's the best bet to extract value? Pot will be $56.50 on the river, villain has $71 left behind and we act first. Do you put the villain AI and hope he likes his set of aces enough to call or just pot it and hope he feels committed enough to push the rest of his stack in for us? (I don't play NL100).

What did you do, Warpe?

Yup, missed the double str8 draw....

I don't think they are all clean, though. I am convinced it's a set.

We have to call $13 into a pot of $43.50 (not sure where you got $30.50 drtofu?) so we're getting 3.3:1 pot odds. I missed the double gutshot straight draw too (although it's only 10:30 here and I need another cup of coffee) so we're only 2.1:1 against hitting our draw. I guess the 6c & 5c are tainted, but I'll have a hard time giving him credit for AA here. If I were villain I would have raised the flop with AA.

Good question about the river play if the draw hits drtofu... I probably bet $30 if the flush hits and hope AK calls and AA pushes. If the straight hits I bet more because it's well concealed and he might think I'm bluffing.

I tend to try to keep control of the betting once I open. Builds the pot if I hit but costs me if I miss, obv.

If you hit your flush do you push or pot it? Seems like giving the villain a $25 bet to just call lets him off too cheaply. But overbetting probably doesn't get paid off. 3/4 pot if a non-board pairing club comes?

If the flush hits...good question. This is where I think betting the turn works to my advantage. As Fnord said, checking the turn would be fairly standard. So if I check/call turn, lead out big on a club river, am I getting called?
