Against poor TAG's, it seems okay. However, I'd probably call you down here with a AT here, just because it doesn't make sense.

What are you representing? I'd think you have AQ/AK for sure. If you have a pair you'd have bet the flop, unless you had TT then you would have reraised the turn. I'd call with any peice of the board or a low pp. (as villian).

Will that "bluff" work 50% of the time? Possibley.

One of these guys has the 10 so they can only put you on 888. I think the big bet on the river is good though. not many players are going to call the river for $80 with a pair of 10's only.

Renton: I'm (obviously) a low stakes player. I asked because I'm in the middle of rereading The Book of Bluffs : How to Bluff and Win at Poker (by Lessinger). That's why I asked about the hand you represented.

If you would play a flopped FH the exact same way, then it's a fair bluff, though I wouldn't be surprised if one (or both) people called as flopping monsters with that board is a rare thing. Given that they bet $80 to win $180 and the likelihood of you having TT/T2 is far less than that.

T-T or 8-8 are not that unlikely given his betting.

Also, it's not really a question of "would you play T-T like this?" against unobservant opponents. They will often put you on it even if you personally wouldn't play the hand this way.

QFT.

I find even thinking players have lots of difficulty understanding that HIM != YOU. Show someone a line that looks like how he would play it and he'll put you on the hand.

Re: The Hand.

I'd like more information on why you're entering this pot.
I think the turn is a really easy laydown. Fail that, what do you think about a squeeze here? If we put the min-raise on a pair trying to isolate the stab at the pot and see where he's at, then a re-raise to $75 would put them both in a very difficult spot.

I made an implied odds call on the turn because Melea is a predictable tagg who has a strong hand there a lot. I figured I'd get more than paid off if I hit my str8.

However, when Melea checked that river, I knew my read was bad. Since Melea was the only player I was worried about up to that point, I went ahead and stabbed at this pot.

I think getting aggressive on the turn with a 3bet would be spewage against Melea.

Given that description of the player, I'm quite concerned about hitting second best and just let this one go.
