MP is kinda aggro, but given his stack size and overall quality of play at the table I definatly smell something in the air.
$3 is his standard opener and he'll do this with any playable hand. He just busted a $20 stack with his 88 vs shorties AJo all-in pre-flop when he re-raised a $5 opener.
I've been at the table 2 orbits and am running bad 3-1 stabbing around in smallish pots, including a spot where I had air at showdown.

I dont quite get what you mean by "something in the air." Are you expecting to get paid because villain thinks you are full of it? In that case how to get his remaining 50$ in?
How did the hand go when you were on air? Did you fire a second barrel or quit after the a tried steal on the flop?
If you previously got caught with air on a big turn bet, push turn.
If you have him on a higher PP or TP, then he wont want to give you a free card, making a c/r AI on turn a good play. His turn bet would be around 25$, so a minraise would be AI and he wouldnt be able to get away from that.
I am thinking he would rr flop if he had trips, so you are probably good here.

I still like a turn bet here... however, just enough that he thinks an AI from him would give himself decent FE. If he flat-calls, I'm sure you get the rest on the river anyways. Anywhere between $15-$20?
Or you could go for a C/R AI, I guess.

i would like to hear what your line was when you showed down air. if you checked behind on the turn after villain called a c-bet, then i think that would be the line here, intending to c-raise AI. and i agree that i think villain would have reraised the flop if he has the 7

c/r ai would be the bread and budda play here. If you think he'll take a freebie (I don't), then just lead for 3/4 or something. I think betting small on the turn is the weakest option.

I post in the CO, folded to me, I check, button limps, SB folds, BB checks.
Ace-brick-air-ball two-tone
Checked through
Turn is a King
Check, bet, call, fold
River bricks.
Checked through.
My hand and the board had nothing in common. Button in that hand was busted by my opponent in this one.
