So I started playing 50NL FR last sunday (did pretty good at 25nl 6max, but redzill4 suggested I move to FR so he can give me some coaching there) and now I find myself 1 week later beating the limit fairly easily and solidly rolled for 100NL.

My BR stands today at 3.5k and the dilemma I'm in is that if I move up to 100nl I feel I'll be on scared money at first cause I very recently moved to 50nl, and it will take a few thousand hands to get used to twice those amounts. I also wonder if it would be a good thing to split my roll between stars and tilt to kinda reduce some risks (hacking, etc etc) and increase the choice of games. FWIW I could even cash out some, but meh I'm not in real need of cash atm.
Please ship the advice :]

stats look really solid, congats on doing so well.
It's a nice situation to be in, having too much money for the games you want to play. Splitting your roll is fine, but your entire poker bankroll would still be 3.5k so you would still be rolled for the 100nl games regardless of where you money is. Normally I would say keep playing the level you are until you have beaten the game over a large sample (like 50k hands or something) but your stats look really good (and by that I don't mean the winrate) and I think the difference between 50nl and 100nl is minimal. Move up, drop down if you get to 3k or if you feel like you are not playing your best because of the amount of money you're playing for.
Good luck

set a 5-10 buyin stoploss, and take a shot. The regs aren't bruffing you as often as you think.
I'd say don't split your roll... there is plenty of table selection on Stars.

So you click their picture and then you get their money?

hrm, i wonder why the img tag didn't work, probably did it wrong.
Anyways, thanks for the advice, I'm not sure if I should go for 40BI's now and put a 10BI stoploss or go for it now and put a 5-8 BI's stoploss. A 10BI downer on a 35BI roll would probably hurt my mental, donno...

I disagree with this. I treat my FTP roll like its own separate roll. It's really personal preference though.

No it's not, you are just a hudge fish. If your "personal preferences" are costing you money then you should try to change them instead of acting like they're a given.

I don't see any benefits from splitting your roll.
re: moving up - if you are confident in your game and you have a sufficient bankroll - then moving up is a great idea. Kingnat's advice with the stoploss is also a great idea to implement for moving up.

So I ended up moving up to 100nl without splitting the roll. Here are some preliminary stats. If that goes on like this it sounds like i may be going higher again, weeee

Here is my lifetime 100nl stats, which stretches for almost exactly 1 month.
A few days ago I moved to 200nl, and I'm at about 3ptbb/100 for about 4k hands.
/me hopes it lasts
Also, I hope this brag goes on

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

my first 65k hands at 100nl on Stars looked pretty much the same cuz i benefited from my unknown status. :P However, it really brought me back to the harsh reality of poker variance after half million hands out there

The secret is move up fast enough so that the regs dont have enough time to gather stats.
