daven will become famous soon enough
villain is a winning nit 12-4 and wins too many showdowns.
No notes, and unfortunately he just joined the table so i had the stats of some fish hovering over his seat. Standard against a fish...

If i'd known it was this nit I would have been firing flop harder and his re-raise would have been effectively a push - easier decision then. I guess this shows how much i vary my play by villain - too much perhaps...

Daven... wtf? You post too many set hands. :P Looks like an easy felt.

He could have AA/AK, but I'm guessing b/c you posted this, that he had KK (or 99)?

*Edit* Didn't even notice your flop lead was so small (thought it was 1/2 pot). Why are you leading so weak?

Your line is fairly ridiculous. Just crai and call a push. 1/3pot, CiB is just crazy and unnecessary.
3k post - Return of the blog!

Your line is kinda fine if you think he can get away from his one pair hands if you c/r. Although I like a shove > CiB second time around, not that it matters much.

Not a spot where I'm looking for fold a set.

He may be a nit, but he still felts aa,ak here most of the time due to board texture. You can never fold this. Also I dont mind a flop donk bet, but I really dislike the cib, just raise to 45 etc and get it in.
"This sure beats Super Mario Bros.!" is my ejaculation catch phrase.

Either check your first option or make a substantial cbet. Get your money in on the flop.
