Post subject: Bottom set... call an all in after flush hits turn?

I don't have the hand history, since they were unavailable to get because of maintenence.
$1.00-$2.00 blinds, 10 person (full) NL ring table on poker.com.
UTG ($400.00 stack) raises to $8.00. I am next to act and I call with [2s2h]. I have $209.00 in my stack. Three others call to make the pot an even $40.00 before the flop.
FLOP: 8s 4s 2d
UTG checks, I bet $25.00, another player goes all in for $49.75. Fold, Fold, then the UTG player who initially raises calls. I call (keep in mind I could not raise because the player all in had .25 too less to complete a full raise).
TURN: 3s
UTG player instantly goes all in for $350ish. I have $150.00 left in my stack (pot was $190.00). This player was aggressive and also bluffed at times (although I knew he had some sort of hand here, at least AA or KK). He wasn't a great player, maybe not even a good player, but when he acted he usually was strong in his action, not necessarily strong with his hand. I knew he would make this play with a flush, higher set, or an overpair (AA or KK). When he called after the flop I was scared of a bigger set and the flush draw because he checked first.
Finally I fold the hand... did I make the correct decision?
Should I have noticed the short stack of 49.75, and bet accordingly to leave the re raise option open?

hmm.. probably has JJ-AA with a spade draw in there.
that sux you couldnt get a reraise all in there.. i like to get sets all in on the flop in those situations.
we should think more about sizing our bets so if a shorty rr's all in we can get a 3rd bet.

I think you have to call here. Even if he has AK/AQ/KQ of spades, you still have chances to beat him. Like Terry said, likely has has an overpair with a 4 flush here.

You're calling $150 to win $490. You're getting about 3.2:1 on your money. If he's got the nuts, you're a 4.5:1 'dog. If he's drawing to the flush with an overpair, you're a 4.5:1 favourite. Which seems more likely to you?
Btw, I'm an amateur, take this with a pinch of salt, but I think this is the right way to think.

I don't understand why you can't just push the flop? But I call the turn push here, especially if it's immediate.

You can't re-raise if you aren't raised the minimum in the first place.

thanks a lot guys, the hand played out like this, he went all in with AA AND NO SPADE!!!! Another spade did hit on river but I had the duece so I woulda won. The short stack that pushed had JJ with NO SPADE. I was sick after the hand and had to quit for the nite. When I replayed the hand in my head over and over again I couldnt believe I folded. I just wanted to know what you all would do.... thanks for the input... next time Ill be calling.
