I'd play this a little more agressively, especially on the flop. Either bet more or reraise to see where you stand. $1 into a $3 pot just looks like a weak probe bet, especially when you just call his raise and check the turn. Good fold on the turn though IMO.

Am i reading this wrong or wasn't it the villain that folded 
I would have bet less on the turn. Good chance he has K weak kicker and might try to look you up for a smaller bet. When he just calls your flop raise and checks the turn, i'm pretty sure he's beat. Nh though

Am i reading this wrong or wasn't it the villain that folded

Lol, my fault. I got the two of them mixed up. I thought he hit bottom 2 and min-bet the flop and check/folded the turn. Well played then, although it may have been better to slow down a little on the turn.
